(June 9, 2008)--The Police are helping out public television in a big way.

The only way fans can see the final Police show in New York on Aug. 7 is to make a pledge to one of New York's two PBS stations.

Pairs of tickets to the final show will be given as thank you gifts for contributions beginning at $150 during the pledge drive this Saturday.

It's expected to be the largest single fundraising event in PBS history.

The B-52's will be special guests at the concert.
