(July 22, 2008)--Jessica Simpson apparently has some more work to do win over country fans.
The Kenosha News reports that reviews were mixed for her performance Saturday at the Country Thunder musical festival where she was welcomed with a mix of boos and cheers.
Concertgoer Mike Rodriguez, who clearly isn't a fan, said, "Just because she's dating Tony Romo it doesn't make her country."
He went on to say he'd have to drink a lot of beer to sit through her concert.
Another concertgoer called her "an embarrassment to country music,” but a supporter in the crowd said she actually liked Simpson's country songs better.
Her country album "Do You Know?" is due Sept. 9.
