Dolly Parton Wraps Up European Tour Save Email Print

(July 22, 2008)—Dolly Parton has just wrapped up the most successful European tour of her career.

She performed 17 shows to more than 170,000 fans, surpassing her then-best 2007 European tour, where she played 21 shows for over 140,000 people.

Parton's sold-out shows in Glasgow, Scotland, and and two in London were filmed for a future DVD release.

Parton heads back out on the road on Aug 1 for a show in San Diego.

She's slated to play 12 shows, wrapping with two performances at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

In October, Parton begins a U.S./Canada tour.

This week, Parton issues the third single from her "Backwoods Barbie" album.

It’s called "Shinola."
