Pat Green Knocked Out Cold By Cold One Save Email Print

(August 19, 2008)—Waco-born country singer-songwriter Pat Green got knocked out cold by a cold one during a performance over the weekend after NASCAR’s Carfax 250 race at the Michigan International Speedway.

The Jackson Citizen Patriot reported that late in his show, he shouted, "Anyone got a beer?"

A can of suds suddenly soared from the audience onto the stage.

Then a second can from the crowd hit Green between the eyes, knocking him out.

Medical personnel treated him at the track.

There was no word Tuesday on how he’s doing.

Pat Green did not ask for a beer. He stated beer was the last word of the song. Yes someone threw a beer. He recieved a cut to the face but was never knocked out.

I'm suprised anyone was sober enough to lob one that far. Good thing no one threw panites at the stage. He prolly would have smothered. Them Nascar "hotties" wear some big drawers. LOL

I'm just glad that he is doing ok, and wasn't badly injured. I just pray that people use wisdom if they are going to drink, and that if they know they have trouble handling liquor to not drink it in the first place.

WE WERE THERE AT MIS AND SAW THE CONCERT. PAT WAS GREAT. THERE HAD TO BE 3000 ADULT BEVERAGED NASCAR FANS ENJOYING THE CONCERT AND HAVING A GREAT TIME. BEER CANS WERE NOT THE ONLY THINGS BEING THROWN. BEADS AND SHIRTS WERE FLYING LEFT AND RIGHT. HATED TO SEE PAT GET HURT BUT HE SHOULD HAVE REALIZED WHAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT.

Find out who threw it and sign them up for the Rangers. Maybe he can market a new name for the beer( Knock Out) and get paid millions.

I saw Pat in Iowa the next day and he was in good spirits and still managed to do a great show. Thank God, it could have been much worse.
