(September 2, 2008)--Glen Campbell says he got his hit song "Galveston" from an unlikely person, Hawaiian singer Don Ho.

He says Ho said, "Here's a song I put out that I didn't have any luck with."

That song was "Galveston."

Campbell says it goes to show that "you can have a great piece of material, and if it's not done right, it ain't gonna go very far."

Campbell is out with a new album called "Meet Glen Campbell,” which is a CD of covers of such tunes by U2, Tom Petty, Green Day and Velvet Underground.

"Meet Glen Campbell" is on the top 30 on the country album chart.
