(September 4, 2008)--An amateur film of Marilyn Monroe is up for bid.

A naval officer shot the candid footage of Monroe when she visited a naval base in San Diego.

Monroe later invited the officer to visit her on the set of "Some Like It Hot."

He shot more scenes of Monroe with Tony Curtis and director Billy Wilder.

The 8-millimeter film is still in its original box.
