(September 22, 2008)—The comedy "30 Rock" tied an Emmy record Sunday for the most Emmys won in a single season by a comedy series.

It won four last night, including best comedy series and it picked up three the week before at the Creative Arts Emmys for a total of seven.

Seven is the single season record set in 1972 by "All in the Family."

"30 Rock" also won last year.

"Mad Men" won the Emmy for best drama.

"Mad Men" also won best dramatic writing and four other Emmys from the week before at the Creative Arts awards for a total of six.
