(October 6, 2008)—Janet Jackson has put off three more shows because of an undisclosed illness.
She canceled a show that was set for Saturday night in Greensboro, N.C., one Sunday night in
Atlanta and another set for Tuesday night in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
That means she will have been laid up for more than a week as a result of the illness.
In a statement, Jackson's people say the singer did travel to North Carolina in hopes of performing Saturday, it was "evident" she wasn't fully recovered and a local doctor advised her to sit out that show.
Now, her publicist says Jackson will return home for further treatment, and there’s no word on when the tour may resume.
The publicist says those with tickets for the postponed shows should hold on to them since the promoter is trying to reschedule dates that have been missed.
