(October 13, 2008)—Texan LeAnn Rimes is following her doctor’s orders to give her voice a rest.

She has delayed one of her shows and canceled another.

The first of the canceled shows was Friday in Norfolk, Va.; her Web site says that performance will be made up on another date.

But the site says the show this past Saturday in Charleston, West Va. was canceled, indicating it won't be rescheduled.

The site says Rimes' doctor has ordered "immediate vocal rest" but doesn't indicate what's wrong with her voice.

It says she expects to resume her concert tour schedule with a performance Friday in Lake Charles, La.
