(October 14, 2008)--After 45 years of fan mail, Ringo Starr says he is sick of hearing from you.
In a video posted on his Web site, the former Beatles drummer says you've got until Oct. 20 to get in touch.
After that, he says he’s finished with answering fan mail and won't be signing any more autographs.
British television stations broadcast the video Tuesday.
In it, Starr tells his fans "with peace and love" that anything else he gets in the mail after his deadline will be thrown away.
Starr says he's just too busy.
Back in 1991, Ringo guest-starred on an episode "The Simpsons" in which he was shown scrupulously answering every single piece of fan mail he got, saying "They took the time to write to me, and I don't care if it takes 20 years, I'm going to answer every one of them."
