(October 20, 2008)—The action film "Max Payne" booted "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" as the top weekend draw at the box office.
"Max Payne" pulled in an estimated $18 million.
"Beverly Hills Chihuahua" was significantly behind at just more than $11 million followed closely by "The Secret Life of Bees."
The new Oliver Stone movie about President Bush called "W” was fourth, taking in an estimated $10.6 million.
The president of box-office tracker Media By Numbers says it's not a movie that screams big box office, but is doing exactly what he expected it to.
"Eagle Eye" was Number 5 at $7.3 million.
Rounding out the top 10 are "Body of Lies,""Quarantine,""Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist,"."Sex
Drive," and "Nights in Rodanthe."
