(November 13, 2008)—The woman found dead outside the home of “American Idol” judge Paula Abdul was once a contestant on the popular show.

Police suspect suicide in the death of Paula Goodspeed, 30.

She was discovered in a car outside Abdul’s Los Angeles home Tuesday evening.

Two years ago, she performed “Proud Mary” in her Idol audition.

Goodspeed had said during her "Idol" audition that she idolized Abdul.
