(November 16, 2008)—Paul McCartney wants to release a 14-minute experimental track the Beatles recorded in 1967 that reportedly includes distorted guitar, organ sounds, gargling, and shouts of "Barcelona!"

It was heard only once by an audience, at an electronic music festival in London, but McCartney thinks it's time to release it.

He said it was recorded one day at the Abbey Road studios, after he asked the other members to "just wander round all of the stuff and bang it, shout, play it."

He told the BBC he still has a master tape of it, and that "the time has come for it to get its moment."

He would still need permission from Ringo Starr and from the widows of John Lennon and George Harrison to release it.
