(November 24, 2008)—Collectors’ Choice Music is releasing a box set of syndicated radio programs that Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys recorded in the 1940s in January.
The re-mastered 150-song collection is packaged in a 10-CD box set, called "The Tiffany Transcriptions."
The programs were recorded in 1946 and 1947, and include a mix of well-known songs such as "New San Antonio Rose," "Faded Love," and "Take Me Back to Tulsa," with covers of popular songs from that era.
Wills, who’s known as the King of Western Swing, was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1968.
