UMHB Instrumental Christmas Concert

Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Instrumental Christmas Concert is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mayborn Campus Center Arena on the UMHB Campus. This concert will be presented by the UMHB Music Department and UMHB Conservatory of Music.
The Conservatory of Music Suzuki Groups will perform Allegro, O Come Little Children, Lightly Row, Twinkle Variation A and Theme, and end with an arrangement of Jingle Bells by Michelle Finklea. The Suzuki Groups will be accompanied by Hannah Horton and are under the joint direction of Rebekah Bond Ottoson and Michelle Yang Finklea.
The Bell County Symphonic Band will present Christmas Adoration by Paul Curnow, Carol of the Candle by Larry MacTaggart, Thematic Variations on Dona Nobis Pacem by James Sudduth, an arrangement by John Higgins of The Christmas Song made popular by Mel Torme and Robert Wells, and A Yuletide Trilogy arranged by John Moss. The Bell County Symphonic Band is under the direction of James Whitis, director of Instrumental Activities at UMHB.
