WACO, Texas—Come experience the “3 Redneck Tenors,” a two act, 18 song musical that features a very talented trio that compares to the Three Tenors but the “3 Redneck Tenors” have a more grass-root upbringing.

The 3 Redneck Tenors will be at the Waco Hippodrome Monday Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at wacoperformingarts.org.

Written by opera-veteran Matthew Lord with music arranged by award winning composer Craig Bohmler, 3 Redneck Tenors features a cast of veteran Broadway and opera stars including John Wilkerson, Alex Bumpas, Matthew Lord.

Alex Bumpas, as Billy Bob, has been a soloist in many professional organizations including the Dallas Symphony, Dallas Bach Society, Orchestra of New Spain, and Orpheus Chamber Singers.

Mathew Lord, as Billy Joe, has been recognized as a versatile performing artist with a voice capable of encompassing repertoire from the 18th century to composers of today. He has performed with such companies as San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Washington Opera, Houston Opera and Dallas Opera.

John Wilkerson, Billy Billee, is known not only for his vocal prowess, but also for his authentic acting and his ability to convey the emotion and meaning of any role with amazing subtlety. He has starred on Broadway in Abby's Song, State Fair with John Davidson, Andrea McArdle and Donna McKechnie, and Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby. His national tours include Brigadoon, South Pacific, Man of La Mancha with Ed Ames, State Fair, and Peter Pan.

The audience will travel with the three cousins that start their humble beginnings in Paris, Texas to the triumphant performance at New York’s famous Carnegie Hall. This is a great way to start the Holiday celebrations with a Spec-tac-yule-ar show.
