Jessica Simpson Plays In The Big Easy

NEW ORLEANS (March 5, 2009)--On the heels of Britney Spears' "Circus" concert Tuesday in New Orleans comes pop star-turned-country music singer Jessica Simpson.

Simpson is set to perform Friday at the New Orleans Arena, the venue occupied earlier this week by Spears and her first concert tour in five years, "Circus."

Simpson is on the tail end of a two-month tour with the country music group Rascal Flatts. She is expected to perform songs from her debut country album, "Do You Know," which includes the love song to her Dallas quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo, "You're My Sunday."

The tour has already hit more than 20 cities since launching in Kansas City, Mo., on Jan. 17. After New Orleans, it heads to Phoenix and San Diego before ending in Irvine, Calif., on March 14.
