Brazos Nights Concert Series to Begin April 3
Live music at Indian Spring Park schedule
The City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department announces the 2009 Brazos Nights concert series.

Waco, Texas (March 13, 2009) – The City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department announces the 2009 Brazos Nights concert series.

The free concerts begin April 3 at downtown Waco’s Indian Spring Park and will continue May 1, June 5 and July 4. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

This year’s music line-up features a diverse mix of recognized artists and Texas music.

April 3: GENCO Federal Credit Union presents Stoney Larue, Hayes Carll, Modern Day Drifters

May 1: La Ley 104.1 FM presents Pride and Joy and Los Aliados de la Sierra

June 5: Metro PCS presents Ruthie Foster and Ray Wylie Hubbard

July 4: H-E-B, Star 92.9 and ESPN 1660 present Fourth on the Brazos with The Fab 5, T-Bird and the Breaks, Sloppy Joe, Waco Community Band and H-E-B Fireworks

Along with live music, Brazos Nights includes food and drink concessions, children’s arts and games and scenic views of the river from the Suspension Bridge.

The City of began the concert series began in 1987 and it is supported by community businesses. Indian Spring Park is located at 100 University Parks Dr. in downtown Waco.
