NEW YORK (April 12, 2009)--Fox News Channel's latest sensation Glenn Beck is taking a comedy act on the road.
Beck said he will do a live comedy show over six nights, starting June 1 in Denver.
He calls himself a "poor man's Seinfeld."
Beck will mix stand-up comedy with observations from a modern-day reimagining of Thomas Paine's 1776 pamphlet "Common Sense."
Since joining Fox's schedule in January, Beck has nearly doubled the ratings for his late-afternoon time slot.
He's been criticized for over-the-top knocks on President Barack Obama and been a frequent lampoon target of Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert.
