AUSTIN (April 27, 2009)--Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro's collection of film-related material is now open to the public and researchers at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas.

The collection of scripts, letters, films, movie props and costumes covers De Niro's work on 69 films from "Greetings" in 1968 through "Hide and Seek" in 2005.

It includes items such as his leopard-print boxing robe worn in "Raging Bull" and body-length coats of the creature in "Frankenstein."

De Niro donated the collection to the Ransom Center in 2006.
