FAIRFAX, Va. (May 4, 2009)--The Christian band Third Day may perform for U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

Bass guitarist Tai Anderson says American troops and their families have showered Third Day with gifts and letters of appreciation since the band performed last year in Iraq and Kuwait.

Anderson says he and his band mates were impressed by the way people in the military work together as a team, more so than he's ever seen in church.

He says the trip was such a blessing that Third Day wants to fly back "within the next 12 months" and perform again for U.S. troops, probably in Afghanistan this time.
