ARLINGTON (June 23, 2009)--Registration for Texas auditions for the next season of Fox TV's
"American Idol" will be Wednesday and Thursday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
Auditions will be held Friday at the $1.15 billion Cowboys Stadium, which opened this month.
American Idol has a history of drawing thousands of contestants to tryout venues nationwide.
Kelly Clarkson, from nearby Burleson, rose to pop-rock fame after winning the first "American Idol" title in 2002.
