NEW YORK (July 1, 2009)--Tributes to the King of Pop continue at New York City's Apollo Theater, which has turned its weekly Amateur Night contest into a Michael Jackson celebration.

The Jackson edition of Wednesday's Amateur Night show at the Harlem theater will feature a moon-walking contest and performances of his songs.

Entertainer and celebrity impersonator C.P. Lacey will pay homage to the late pop legend, who died last week at age 50.

The event follows Tuesday's six-hour memorial service.

The pollo housed thousands of fans including director Spike Lee.

They watched a video tribute and cheered and danced to Jackson's many hits, including "Thriller" and "Billie Jean."
