(July 9, 2009)—Roseanne Cash has a new album coming out in October, titled "The List."

In a posting on her blog, Cash says the tracks on the album were culled from a list of "100
Essential Country Songs" from her father, Johnny Cash.

Rosanne says Johnny Cash gave her the list when she was 18.

Rosanne Cash is now a mother herself, and says she'll be passing that list on to her children.

She adds that making the album from her father's song suggestions was "deeply thrilling and very emotional."
