LOS ANGELES (August 14, 2009)--Aerosmith is canceling the rest of their summer tour, according to a statement from the band's publicist, which says they're taking the action with "great regret."
Front man Steven Tyler fell off the stage during a performance in Sturgis, S.D., earlier this month.
The band says doctors have advised Tyler he needs time to "properly recuperate from the accident."
Tyler broke his left shoulder and needed 20 stitches in his head.
The statement says fans will be able to get refunds for tickets to the cancelled shows.
