MINNEAPOLIS (September 21, 2009)—The 1,500 fans who bought tickets for Lucinda Williams' concert Friday in Minneapolis wound up as her wedding guests.

Between her 90-minute concert and her encore, Williams got married on stage to her manager, Tom Overby.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Hank Williams’ on-stage wedding inspired the ceremony.

Williams' father read a poem he'd written for his daughter when she was 7.

Then, the minister and the groom took the stage.

Right after the vows, Williams' encore included a song she adapted from lyrics Hank Williams wrote but never recorded called "I'm Happy I Found You."

The Star Tribune reported she fought back tears as she sang.
