(October 16, 2009)--Def Leppard is stopping the music.

A statement on the band's Web site says they're canceling the third leg of their 2009 tour, starting with Oct. 22 in Reno, Nev. "due to unforeseen personal matters" and, they say, "Life's commitments need to be the priority."

They're not explaining what these matters or commitments are.

The band also says "We know how truly blessed we are to have such committed fans, that's why we've agonized over this decision" because they don't take canceling shows lightly.

Def Leppard's tour began in June and for much of the summer and fall it's ranked as one of North America's top-20 grossing tours by concert-tracker, Pollstar.
