Beatles’ Label Sues Over Digital Downloads
The Beatles’ label is suing a Web site over digital downloads of Beatles songs.

LONDON (November 5, 2009)—The Beatles’ label, EMI, is suing the Web site BlueBeat for copyright infringement.
The Beatles' holding company, Apple Corps, has not allowed any Internet music service including iTunes to sell digital downloads of Beatles songs, but BlueBeat offering Beatles songs for 25 cents each, including material from re-mastered albums that were just released in September.
A BlueBeat representative could not be reached for comment.
As of Wednesday night, BlueBeat was still offering Beatles songs.
Bluebeat's Web site says it's based in Santa Cruz, California.
