Liverpool Plans Two-Month John Lennon Bash
The hometown of late Beatle John Lennon plans a two-month bash to mark the 70th anniversary of the musician’s birth.

LONDON (March 26, 2010)--Liverpool is planning a two-month celebration of the 70th anniversary of John Lennon's birth.
The late Beatle would have turned 70 on Oct. 9, the day the celebration will begin.
It will run continue through December 9, the day after the anniversary of his death.
Liverpool's lord mayor Mike Storey told the BBC the tribute will remember Lennon the man, celebrate his music and acknowledge his contribution to the city.
