Local police departments will be participating in the national Prescription Drug Take-Back program on Saturday, April 27.

The initiative will allow residents to get rid of unwanted and expired prescription medication by dropping them off at most local police departments.

People can drop off medication anonymously.

If not listed below or posted on the DEA website, residents should check with their local department before dropping off prescription drugs.

- Killeen Police Headquarters located at 3304 Community Blvd. or to the Killeen Police Department North Precinct located at 402 N. 2nd St.
10am until 2pm

- The Temple P.D. lobby, 209 East Avenue A. or the Temple PD Mobile Command Unit (motor home), stationed in the parking lot of the Scott and White Center for Diagnostic Medicine, corner of South 31st Street and West Avenue R.
10am until 2pm

- Belton Police station, 711 E. 2nd Ave.
10am until 2pm

- Copperas Cove Police Department, located at 302 East Avenue E,
10am until 2pm
