1.26.2012 Pounds of Beef Sirloin Recalled Due to Undeclared Allergen

(January 26, 2012) - An undeclared allergen, milk is causing a recall of beef sirloin for one company.

The ingredient is not listed on the label, therefore, prompting the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service to recall the items.

Those products include:

10.5-lb cases of 28 count, 6 oz. "ELLISON MEAT COMPANY BEEF SIRLOIN TOP BUTT STEAK, CAP OFF, NO ROLL, MARINATED," with an identifying case code of "62149."
10-lb cases of 16 count, 10 oz. "ELLISON MEAT COMPANY BEEF SIRLOIN TOP BUTT STEAK CAP OFF / TENDERIZED WITH FICIN & BROMELAIN," with an identifying case code of "62151."

They also bear the Establishment number "EST. 15805" and were produced between January 1, 2011 and September 7, 2011 and were distributed in Montana, North Dakota and Texas.
