The Alzheimer’s Angels, a team of over 45 community partners in Central Texas, will participate in The Longest Day. Centered on one day—the summer solstice, June 20th, the team will join together to honor those affected by Alzheimer's by grilling from sunup to sundown (6:28am to 8:25pm) at the Gateway Plaza in Temple (parking lot of Cinemark Theaters, Ashley Furniture, and Gold’s Gym Express). Their effort is intended to symbolize the difficult journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers. They will be raising awareness and raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s. The public is invited to come by for breakfast tacos in the morning, and burgers throughout the remainder of the day. Donations are appreciated.
