Food For Families 2009, the largest one-day food drive in Texas, was the most successful in the 20 year history of the event. The final total for all sites is 1,195,018. For a list of each site's total, check below.

Food For Families is a coalition of food pantries across Central Texas who have banded together to collect non-perishable food in a one-day coordinated drive on the Friday before Thanksgiving. All food donated stays in the county in which it was collected to serve the people in need in that county. All pantries participating in Food For Families are members in good standing of "Feeding America, the largest network of food banks and food pantries in the United States. Food For Families is operated by four partner organizations, Longhorn Council of Boy Scouts of America, H.E.B. Grocery Company, Texas Army National Guard and KWTX-TV News 10.
