MND-B Soldiers kill 5 criminals Save Email Print

BAGHDAD – Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers killed five criminals in operations in western Baghdad May 14.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., MND-B Soldiers were attacked by criminals using small-arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades in Kadamiyah. The Soldiers returned fire and killed four criminals.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., MND-B Soldiers received sniper fire from a building in Kadamiyah. An aerial weapons team that was providing security overwatch fired one Hellfire missile and killed the violent criminal.

“We have every right to defend ourselves and innocent civilians from violent extremists,” said Lt. Col. Steve Stover, spokesman, MND-B and 4th Infantry Division. “Those committing these atrocities are simple thugs and criminals and deserve no other title.”
