Gatesville Man Jailed on Child Sex Charges
A Gatesville man is in Coryell County Jail charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a child.

GATESVILLE (October 11, 2009)—A Gatesville man is held in Coryell County Jail charged with three sex counts, one of which involves a child younger than 14.
Kenneth Jesse Blanchard, 42, already was being held on one count of failure to register as a sex offender.
He was additionally charged on Sunday with one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 14 and one count of sexual assault of a child.
Coryell County Justice of the Peace Larry McDonald set Blanchard’s bond at $100,000 on the aggravated charge, $50,000 on the sexual assault charge and $2,500 on the failure to register charge.
McDonald told News 10 both sexual assault charges resulted from accusations against Blanchard that revolve around incidents that happened this past summer in Gatesville.

As a relative of 1 of the newest victims, I am devastated to think that these boys were subjected to this simply because a parent chose to keep Kenneth's sex offender status to themselves. A parent of 1 of these victims chose not to tell his friend's parents of his status and as a result, these new charges are now filed. Do you think that the friend's parents would have knowingly sent their son into his home, if they had been aware? I know they wouldn't have, for I am a close relative of that victim. He will now have to live his life with the horrendous memories of a crime commited against him that could have been prevented. And what about the family member whose parent sent him willingly into a home of a known child sex offender. How many times has he been victimized? How could any parent knowingly keep this vital information from another parent?? I am horriied and sickened by this.
What we really need is a mandatory enrollment in the organ donor program for people like him and all those others locked up (for life / death row)who we will be paying for until they die. Once they are found to be a match it's off to the operating room to finally do some good for society!
