CORYELL COUNTY (March 11, 2010)—The Coryell County Republican Party voted Thursday to consolidate voting sites for April’s runoff election in a move that reduces the number of precincts from 16 to five.
Not everyone was happy about the decision, however, because of the five consolidated sites, only one is in a rural area of the county.
Three are in Gatesville, one is in Copperas Cove and the fifth is in Purmela, 15 miles west of Gatesville.
Coryell County Republican Party Chairman Ed Thompson said the consolidation is a cost-cutting move.

To Jerry;Gatesville, the News Source was KWTX Television Station. And it also said that Gatesville was going to buy new electronic Machines next year, because Gatesville was trying to save money!! But how much trouble/cost is it to set up the voting machines back in the 16 locations, where everybody just voted?? And I stated in my prevous comment who the News source was!
Someone: Coryell County has used electronic voting machines for at least five years. Might want to check your sources.
Well here we go again!! According to KWTX News they(Coryell County) are still doing the pencil and paper ballots and don't even have any voting machines yet! So what is so hard about taking a few ballots (and a pencil) to 16 locations??? Nonsense!!! Geez!!! And the voting is going to be so light(Nobody knows either of the Candidates in the Run-off). Just how much crazier can people in Office get?? Well,,, don't answer that! Sorry I asked.
