(November 21, 2009)--The food pantries associated with Food For Families are counting their blessings and want to pass along their thanks to you Central Texas for the generous donations of money and non-perishable food during Friday's Food For Families food drive.

The final totals from all of the pantries will not be available to News until the week after Thanksgiving as many of the volunteers who serve these pantries are busy preparing Thanksgiving meals for the people they serve.

We know several of the pantries far exceeded their goals by Friday night and others are still counting donations.
