Fire Destroys Local Home, Displacing Several Residents

BELTON (September 20, 2013)--Fire raced through a mobile home Friday just west of Belton, leaving the residents homeless.

Neighbors reported hearing explosions.

Firefighters were sent from Belton at around 10:15 a.m. to the home on 190 Lane and the first units at the scene reported that smoke and flames coming from the mobile home.

Belton firefighters requested help from Salado within minutes of arriving at the scene.

By the time firefighters had the fire under control the home was destroyed.

No injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross was assisting the displaced residents.
