DESOTO (October 26, 2013) Five people, two of them juveniles, have been charged with capital murder in the shooting death of a 16-year-old from Dallas.
Police said all five will be charged with capital murder in the Oct. 17 slaying of Lovell Jenkins III who investigators believe was targeted for robbery while sitting in a car with two friends in DeSoto, just south of Dallas.
Those arrested include Kyel Rodriguez, 18, Lamaud Mathis, 20, and his brother Tramon, 18.
The names of the two juveniles weren’t released.
A friend who was in the car with Jenkins at the time of the shooting told The Dallas Morning News that a group of men was at the end of a street and two of them approached and pulled guns.
