HOUSTON (January 11, 2013--Police canceled an Amber Alert issued Thursday after finding a missing 2-year-old Houston girl and arresting a family friend who’s accused of abducting the toddler.
Houston police found the girl, Alizae Rene Mata, late Thursday at an apartment complex with Jessenia Saldana, 22.
Alizae and Saldana had been missing since Wednesday when the two left to run errands.
Police issued the Amber Alert Thursday after Saldana missed a planned meeting with Alizae's mother.
Houston police arrested Saldana at the scene.
She was facing a kidnapping charge Friday.
