TEMPLE (January 5, 2013)—Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Arthur Jay Morgan, 51, of Temple.
Morgan is wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The charge stems from an on-going series of assaults involving a 7-year-old child who told an adult on Dec. 30 that she had been inappropriately touched beneath her clothing.
Officers obtained an arrest warrant and went to Morgan’s workplace to arrest him, but found he was no longer there.
Morgan has a previous conviction stemming from offenses against children, police said.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500 or a local law enforcement agency.
