Texas Man Charged After Son, 10, Shot During Family Dispute

FOREST HILL (April 22, 2014) Byron Nesbitt, 32, of the Fort Worth suburb of Forest Hill, has been charged with aggravated assault after his 10-year-old son was shot in the hip during a domestic dispute on Easter Sunday.

Nesbitt’s bond was set at $75,000.

He was no longer in custody Tuesday.

He also faces an emergency protective order after the shooting.

Nesbitt and his wife argued early Sunday, police say.

She called 911 and then tried to leave with several children in the family’s van, police said.

Shots were fired into the vehicle, police said.

The boy, who was not identified, should recover, police said.
