STEPHENVILLE (May 10, 2014) Latonya Suzette McLain, 38, of Dublin was jailed Saturday, charged with aggravated kidnapping, after a baby girl was abducted from outside a home in Stephenville.
The infant was found hours later unharmed.
McLain’s bond was set at $50,000.
Investigators say a tip help lead to the 2-month-old girl, who was found late Friday afternoon at the home of some of McLain’s relatives near Dublin, about 10 miles away.
McLain is accused of approaching the baby’s mother in a garage before taking the infant Friday morning, police said.
She later told people the infant was hers, Stephenville police Chief Pat Bridges said.
