Two Texas Men Indicted In Death Of Teenage Robbery Mastermind

FORT WORTH (September 26, 2012)—A Tarrant County grand jury has indicted two North Texas men for capital murder in the shooting death of a teenager who police say was the mastermind of a robbery that went bad.

The indictments name Terrance Crumley, 21, and Curtis Fortenberry, 21, both of Fort Worth.

Prosecutors haven’t indicated whether they’ll seek the death penalty.

The charges stem from the June 28 shooting death of Claudia Hidic of Fort Worth.

A resident called 911 after he found Hidic's body outside his home.

Police initially were not sure of the circumstances of the death.

Investigators later determined Hidic evidently was caught in the crossfire in the attempted home robbery.

A man at the residence told police he exchanged gunfire with a male suspect.
