COLLEGE STATION (March 20, 2013)--Former Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service employee Lorenza Rios Nunez, 44, of Navasota, remained in the Brazos County Detention Center Wednesday, charged in the misuse of a Texas 4H Foundation checking account and credit cards.

She’s charged with theft over $20,000, but under $100,000/enhanced, and two counts of credit card or debit card abuse.

Her bonds total $6,000.

A Texas A&M University Police Department statement says she was working for the Extension Service as a business coordinator supporting the 4H Foundation from October 2010 until her dismissal in January.

Nunez turned herself in to A&M police Monday.
