ROSEMEAD, Calif. (August 14, 2010)--The 14-year-old granddaughter of a slain Southern California couple and her 21-year-old boyfriend remained jailed Saturday in Texas, charged with murder.
Los Angeles County prosecutors filed the charges against Sophia Cristo and Rodolfo Lopez on Friday after the pair was arrested Wednesday in Horizon City, two days after Jack Dell Bezner and his wife Susan were found stabbed to death in their home in
Rosemead.
Authorities traced the Bezner's missing car to Texas, where they found the suspects.
Prosecutors haven't decided whether to seek the death penalty for Lopez.
Cristo isn't eligible for the death penalty because of her age.
Both were held without bond Saturday.

There are so many unanswered questions here: What was the motive? Where are the girls' parents? Were the grandparents shot or stabbed to death? Where in Texas were they found? This is a sad story. The boyfriend is 21, she's 14...I already see where this going. News 10, keep us posted on this story. I am interested in how this is going to play out...
