MILAM COUNTY (August 31, 2010)—Ten people were arrested Tuesday in Milam County as officers from a half-dozen agencies joined forces to serve drug-related arrest and search warrants.
Officers executed a search warrant Tuesday in the 100 block of N. Travis Street in Rockdale and arrested Trey Mitchell, 24, and Vanette Yumon Wilburn, 36, on possession of controlled substance charges.
A second search warrant was served on a residence in the 400 block of N. Nolan in Cameron, but no one was found there.
Officers also attempted to serve arrest warrants on a dozen residents who were indicted on drug-related charges on Aug. 19 and made seven more arrests.
Darrell Dewayne Shropshire is charged with two misdemeanor counts of delivery of a controlled substance less that one gram and felony delivery of a controlled substance.
Adrian Donnell Morrison is charged with theft of less than $1,500, misdemeanor marijuana possession and tampering with evidence.
Amanda Lee Fisher is charged with delivery of controlled substance less than 1 gram.
Equalae Len Davis is charged with three misdemeanor counts of delivery of a controlled substance less than one gram.
Anthony Dewayne Jones is charged with misdemeanor delivery of controlled substance less than one gram.
Bradley Everage was arrested on a parole violation.
Charles Henry Ellison III is charged with three misdemeanor counts of delivery of a controlled substance less that one gram.
A warrant was also issued for Hatera Henderson, but investigators later determined he’s held in Brazos County on an unrelated charge.
Milam County deputies, Rockdale police, Cameron police, Milam County constables, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and a Texas Ranger were involved in the arrests, which came after a series of undercover narcotics buys over the last three months in the Cameron and Rockdale areas.
Milam County Sheriff David Green said a covert video camera system was used to record the undercover drug deals.
The Milam County Grand Jury returned sealed indictments on Aug. 19 against 12 residents.
