TYLER (September 1, 2010)--Gunfire in Tyler left a landlord and one of her tenants dead in what police are investigating as a murder and attempted suicide.

On Tuesday afternoon, police afternoon received a report that shots had been fired at a multi-apartment residence.

Officers discovered the body of Socorro Nunez, 70, in one unit and found Aguilar unconscious in another unit with what evidently was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The shooting suspect, Alice Aguilar, 47, was admitted Tuesday to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler where she died Wednesday.

Police are investigating whether financial problems were involved in the shootings.
