TEMPLE (September 2, 2010)--Montreal Devin Wright, 20, of Temple, has been arrested and charged in a weekend home invasion robbery in which an apartment resident was shot.

The victim, whose name wasn’t released, was shot in the leg at around 4:30 a.m. Sunday in his apartment at the Villa 8 Apartments at 1310 South Main Street in Temple.

He told officers he was awakened by a knock at the door early Sunday.

He said when he opened the door, a man entered the apartment, demanded money, and shot him in the leg with a small caliber handgun.

The robber fled a short time later.

The injured resident was taken to Scott & White Hospital where he was treated and then later released.

A patrol officer arrested Wright Wednesday in the 1200 block of East Avenue J.

Wright was taken to the Bell County Jail.

His bond was set at $100,000.
