Rusty Garrett here with the weekend outlook:
Warmer-than-normal afternoons are the rule Saturday and Sunday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90! Rain holding off until the middle of next week.
WACO (September 8, 2010)-As flash flooding continued Wednesday for much of Central Texas Area schools were closed or delayed in the wake of a storm that dumped several inches of rain and left roads in several counties closed or under water.
Heavy rains and flooded roadways forced administrators to delay start times because they feared buses could not run at regular times.
Though it opened on time, Belton ISD plans to dismiss students one hour early early in a graduated release schedule:
-Elementary at 1:45 p.m.
-District Alternative Program at 2:15 p.m.
-Waskow High School at 2:25 p.m.
-Middle Schools and Belton High School at 2:45 p.m.
